The girls handed over the mānuka we made for their Poppy for his rā whānau. This came from Te Paruparu and has been hardened by years of laying in the uku, shaped with a knife and adorned with taura harakeke and the black and white huruhuru manu which represent te pō me te ao, these are also used as a confusion and distraction tactic should he ever need to wield it, the etchings represent āna uri and the bottom was also hardened again with fire.
